How does a contest work?

Starting a contest is done by a client here in three steps:

  1. Choose the type of design: A client first selects the type of design, divided into four categories: Graphic Design, Web Design, Social Media and App Design, and Textual Design.
  2. Add a clear contest description: The client adds a clear description of the contest. The more information the designer has, the better. The client can also add attachments, such as existing materials, style examples, or inspirational images. Additionally, the client has the option to include an English briefing here.
  3. Determine the prize: The final step is setting the prize, which the client is free to choose! Here, the client also selects the duration of the contest, whether the contest is guaranteed or not, and whether the contest is public, semi-private, or private.

Once the contest is started, designers automatically receive notifications. They can now get to work and submit their designs during the contest. The client follows the contest and provides feedback on the submissions. Constructive feedback is essential to motivate designers and help them stay on the right track.

Once the contest period has expired, closing the contest is done through an automated process.

The client receives an invitation to choose a winner. The winning designer then gets a notification and is asked to transfer the files via Brandsupply to the client. This is also the moment when the intellectual property is transferred.

If the winning design is not among the submissions, the client has the option to extend the contest for an additional week.

Brandsupply has a No Cure, No Pay guarantee, so the client is not obligated to choose a winner. This does not apply to a guaranteed contest.
